Musashi is on hand as development partner for its customers to assist them at an early stage with the development of high-quality, weight optimized and cost-effective components. Our manufacturing know-how can thus be incorporated in the customer’s component development.

During development and construction, the forming steps (manufacturing phases) for the various metal forming methods are specified and the forming tools required for this are constructed.

The systematic determination and combination of metal forming processes provides component structures with a geometry-dependent fibre orientation that greatly improves certain component properties (e.g. strength, wear behaviour, etc.).

The determination of manufacturing stages is supported by state-of-the-art 2D and 3D FEM simulation technology, currently FORGE® NxT. A 3D CAD-system is available for the creation of models and drawings (PTC Creo, AutoCAD, Siemens NX, Catia V5). In addition, a suitable CAM system transmits the model data directly to the production machines in our toolmaking department.

For the purpose of guaranteeing a smooth exchange of drawing data with our customers, all conventional drawing formats and 3D model data can be created and processed. Thus an economic and effective cooperation of individual development sectors is made possible.
